Photographs of the former site of the Hotel de Francia, Portbou. Walter Benjamin died in Room 4 on 26 September, 1940. The images detail the location as a building site in 2007 and as an apartment block in 2011. As an ongoing project, repeat visits to survey this scene are planned at irregular intervals in the future.
